Our friend Bob was working on a Gridley New Britain Multi spindle machine tool in the maintenance shop. I was introduced to him and an apprentice by the name of Peter Fuller, by the then Personnel Manager a Brian Lawson. Bob managed to make us jump back away from the machine having started the machine up without telling us, it sounded like a Gatling Gun going off. It certainly broke the staid atmosphere we couldn't help But! laugh.

Bob was one of the best people that I had met in my working life and was always standing my corner.

Now rest in peace Bob in a far better place and we will all meet up at some stage.
